This was a study in fabric. The goal of the piece was to show fabric only with nothing showing from underneath. I wanted it to appear to be a simple piece of fabric hanging on the wall covering something with great detail, allowing the contours of the fabric folds weaving over the shapes underneath. The fabric reveals the contours of a saxophone being played, yet you see nothing of the actual instrument or the musician playing it.
